Bowling Event - 18 Feburary, 2012
This year instead of skating event we are planning Bowling Event for all the Vidhyakunj students. This event is free for all the students. Parents/teachers/volunteers are welcome to join during this event but they will have to pay should they decide to play bowling. We are planning this event during Family day weekend (No gujarati class on this day) and details are as under -

PLACE: Walkley Bowling Club

TIME: 12.00 Noon to 1.30 pm
Pizza and drinks for all the students will be served during this event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the proud sponsorers for food. (Andrew/Shelita Brickley and Amish/Minakshi Patel)
Important Note - Those kids who are interested in this event will have to give their names to their teachers by next weekend.

Christmas Celebration - 17 December, 2011
We will be having Vidhya Kunj Christmas Party for kids on Dec 17th 2011 in Drama Room (Ground floor next door to Administrative office of our school).
The event schedule would be as below -
- 9.30 to 10.30 - Mad Science Show
- 10.30 to 11.00 - Christmas carols and welcoming Santa
- 11.00 to 11.30 - Santa's visit and photo session
- 11.30 to 12.15 - Snack time
Please ensure that your child comes to school in time in order not to miss the fun show which we have organized with the help of Mad Science. For what Mad science is all about you can visit the website www.madscience.org
This will be the last day before christmas vacation. We will resume our regular class with effect from 7th Jan 2012. Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all in advance.

Diwali Celebration - 5 November, 2011
This is to inform you that we will be celebrating Diwali on 5th Nov 2011. Below are the details -
Venue - Green Bank Middle School Gymnasium
Time - 9.30 am to 1.00 pm
Event Schedule -
9.30 - 10.15 Magic Show for kids
10.15 - 10.45 Crafts/Rangoli (Materials will be provided by their respective teachers)
10.45 - 12.00 Kids Peformance/Jeopardy game
12.00 - 12.30 Light Food will be served
12.30 - 13.00 Fireworks (Fire sparkles)
Parents committee will be calling each parents to find out number of attendees. Also each parents will have to bring farsan/sweets for minumum 25 people and parents committee will let you know what to bring during this event.
Please note that this event is only limited for Vidhyakunj parents and their relatives as well as some special invitees.

Registration - September 10, 2011
Yes summer is over and it's back to school time!
Registration for Vidhya Kunj Gujarati School will take place this Saturday
September 10th at Greenbank Middle School. Registration will be from
9:30AM to 12:00PM in the gymnasium. Registration fee of $25 for one child,
$40 for 2 children or $60 for 3 children will be collected. Note there will
be no classes this Saturday, so please do not drop off your kids and leave.
Classes will commence on Saturday September 17th.
Please make an effort to register your child this Saturday. As you are
aware we are one teacher short this year and need to determine the student
enrollment and class allocations and need for another teacher.
